Yeditepe University
Yeditepe University in Istanbul is one of the most prestigious private universities in Turkey, with a strong international focus. Founded in 1996 by ISTEK – Istanbul Educational and Cultural Foundation, Yeditepe University has a distinguished academic and administrative faculty. The university has a goal to educate the younger generation and equip them with all the necessary skills needed for them to excel in their respective fields.
Academic
The university offers 13 faculties, 2 schools, and 1 vocational school. The total number of undergraduate programs is 77 while the associate degree programs are 4. Furthermore, approximately 83 master’s degree programs are available at the university along with 43 doctoral degree programs. All in all, the medium of education is English.
The campus is situated on a land of 125 thousand square meters and a building area of 223 thousand square meters. The two student halls of residence are able to hold a capacity of 4250 students. Natural stones from Anatolia are brought and are covered on the surface of the buildings. This is to keep the buildings cool during the summer and warm during the winter.
Campus
Yeditepe University’s campus is one of the most modern and well-equipped in Turkey. It is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, in the district of Ataşehir. The campus is also home to a number of student clubs and organizations, which add to the vibrant atmosphere on campus. All in all, Yeditepe University’s campus provides students with everything they need to have a successful academic experience. The university also has its own health center which offers medical services to students and staff. There are plenty of places to eat on campus, as well as plenty of places to study and relax. The university also has its own gym, which is open to all students. Overall, the campus facilities at Yeditepe University are top-notch and provide everything that students need to have a great experience while attending school.
Student Focused
Yeditepe University is proud to be the university with the largest number of students with Erasmus and other exchange programs in Turkey. In 2005, the university established Yeditepe Healthcare Services so that they can meet the academic developments with marketing knowledge. The utmost goal of the university is to enhance the quality of education and contribute scientifically to industry and society. Yeditepe also has a strong focus on developing leadership skills among its students through activities like seminars, conferences, internships, and volunteer work.
