The roots of the University lie in the establishment of the first Maritime Studies Faculty in Cyprus at our sister university, Near East University, in 1978, and this history gives us thirty-five years of expertise in the field.

 Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU) was established in 2016 in the Güzelyurt region of TRNC. As of the 2021-2022 academic year, Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University continues to expand its educational activities with 7 Faculties, 1 College, 1 Vocational School, Graduate Education and Research Institute, English and Turkish Preparatory School. 

 Bahcesehir Cyprus University initiated education in the 2017-2018 academic year after receiving permission from local authorities for its establishment in 2016 to offer outstanding educational programs and to provide an embracing environment for academic creativity and the development of leadership skills, instilling the concept of social responsibility, while respecting diversity and multicultural understanding. BAU Cyprus is officially recognised by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YOK) in Turkey, while all the programmes are accredited by the National Education and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (YODAK) of the Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus.
