Istanbul Topkapı University

Istanbul Topkapı University was established as a Foundation Vocational School under the name Plato Vocational School by the Council of Ministers. Later on, it was established as Ayvansaray University by the Ayvansaray Education Foundation and is currently Topkapı University. 

The university consists of the following faculties: Faculty of Fine Arts, Design & Architecture, Faculty of Economics, Administrative & Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Sport Sciences, the Graduate School of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Plato Vocational School. Currently, it offers excellent training to graduates who want to work as an entrepreneur and have high self-confidence. The students are able to contribute to the business world. This is because the university is able to offer 31 undergraduate departments, and 19 masters and doctorate programs. Along with 59 associate degree programs. 

Istanbul Topkapı University has a total of 5 campuses. The faculty of engineering, economics, administration & social sciences, plato vocational school and graduate school are taught in Kazlıçeşme Campus. Likewise, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture in Balat Campus. While, Şişli Campus hosts the departments of Gastronomy and culinary arts and cookery programs. The levent campus consists of the faculty of sports sciences, whereas Yenibosna campus has a distance education center. 

The university’s values are highly based on producing original models, and using pioneering technology. Additionally, protecting cultural heritage, encouraging teamwork among students and helping them to be independent as well.

Topkapı University acknowledges Erasmus and student exchange programs at their university. The reason for this is that it helps to foster the internalization of the university. Furthermore, the university aims to use all means of encouragement, motivation, and promotion for its staff and students. Informative seminars in both languages English and Turkish are held for students to introduce the opportunities to them. 

Erasmus Program at Istanbul Topkapı University

Topkapi University carries out this program with the utmost care and along with the principles of the Charter. Potential participants with disabilities are highly encouraged to take part in this. Additionally, the university also prepares motivational talks given by experts for participating in these international activities. 

In order to increase the number of outgoing students, Topkapi increases its partner visits to strengthen cooperation and make spread information. Moroever, international fairs, exhibitions, and other networking activities are also given to boost cooperation. The potential Erasmus participants are met with former ones in order to share ideas and experiences. Along with the help of Erasmus student clubs, all potential students come together and foster further international activities like this. 

Other than that, regular meetings with the participants are organized to monitor if the rules are being followed and how the activity is progressing over time.

Application Criteria

• The applicant should be a full-time student at the university. 
• If they are an      undergraduate student, then a minimum of 2.20/4.00 CGPA is required. 
• For graduate students, a minimum of 3.00/4.00 CGPA is needed. 
• Minimum of 75/100 high school graduation grades required for first-year students
• Should have a      valid score (minimum of 60/100 points) from the Erasmus Language Exam (ELE)
• Should submit a resume. 
• Must have left with a minimum of 30 ECTS credits on graduation.
